X-Men Red Dawn Matching Omega Red Production Cel and Background (1993) - ID: jul24029

An original multi-layer matching production cel and background setup from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring a dramatic shot of Omega Red holding Colossus' sister Illyana Rasputin captive, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Both pieces create an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season two episode "Red Dawn," which aired on November 13, 1993. Measuring 10.25"x14" overall, with the character image measuring 9"x11.5" , the cel and background are in very good condition. The cel displays minor surface wear, slight line wear, production-related adhesive residue, and backing paper stuck to the reverse of the cel paint from studio use and storage. The background has adhesive residue on the bottom corners, edge wear, and wear to the paper along the bottom right corner.
